We’re big fans of muzzles here at Honest Hounds, and we advocate for them hard. But they’re a tool that gives real Marmite vibes, some people love them, others think they’re the worst. So I got curious and decided to do a deep dive into the history of muzzles. I wanted to know more about where they started, their reputation, and why now for so many they are linked to shame and judgement.
