At Honest Hounds, we’re building a community of owners who actively prepare for vet visits, advocate for their dogs, and take practical steps to reduce stress and risk in clinical settings.
But we also know the pressure veterinary teams are under. Handling dogs with behavioural challenges can feel overwhelming, especially when time, space, and resources are limited.
Dog bites are increasing. So is anxiety. And for many practices, there’s just not enough capacity to manage complex behaviour safely.
That’s where we come in.
We support owners before they ever reach the clinic - from safe restraint techniques and stress signal awareness to building muzzle confidence and practical handling plans tailored to the individual dog.
We also work directly with vets and vet nurses, offering:

We’ve hosted veterinary-led webinars on urgent topics, such as bloat
